Speech Bubble is an exciting new Scottish Charity that runs drama
workshops for young people aged 5-24 with physical disabilities
impacting on their speech
Our Aims
We want to improve wellbeing amongst our young people by improving their communication skills and confidence. Speech Bubble Drama aims to improve social, educational and employment outcomes.
As a Scottish Charity we promote positive representation of disability in the arts and we want to see more inclusion and integration with the wider community!
The charity recruits a group talented facilitators and together we provide free drama workshop sessions for children and young people aged 5-24 in Scotland with physical disabilities that effect their speech
During the Covid Crisis, Speech Bubble Drama has been delivering virtual workshops for families across Scotland. Thanks to the internet, we have been able to facilitate our drama classes all across the country. Speech Bubble Drama are excited to share fun and affirming experiences with young people who find time, space and support to improve their speech, breath control and confidence!
Get Involved!
In 2020, Speech Bubble secured funding from The National Lottery Awards for All fund and this allowed us to offer our awesome, fun filled zoom classes free of charge for children and young people with physical disabilites.
Our drama coaches are some of the most talented performers in Scotland, and have delivered drama workshops in person and online.
In our next phase of development, we want to continue to build the number of participants in our Speech Bubble drama workshops.
